How Aventa — The Design Studio collects, uses and protects your personal data. Last updated: 17 October 2026.

01About this policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Aventa — The Design Studio ("Aventa", "we", "us" or "our"), an interior design studio based in HSR Layout, Bangalore, collects, uses, shares and protects personal data when you visit aventadesigns.com, contact us, use our virtual assistant, engage us for design or execution services, or apply for a job with us.

We process personal data in line with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and other applicable Indian laws. By using our website or sharing your details with us, you agree to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not submit personal data through the website.

02Personal data we collect

We collect only the information we need to respond to you and deliver our services:

  • Contact and enquiry details — your name, phone number, email address, project type, budget range and any message you send through our forms, WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • Virtual assistant ("Aventa") chats — the questions you type and any details you choose to share, such as your name, phone number and project type.
  • Project information — property address, floor plans, site photographs, videos, measurements, preferences, and details about the people who will use the space, shared so we can design and execute your project.
  • Billing and payment details — billing name and address, GST details where applicable, and payment records. We do not store full card numbers on our website.
  • Job application details — your name, contact details, experience, current city, CV or portfolio link and any information you include in your application.
  • Technical information — basic data your browser sends automatically, such as device type, browser, approximate location derived from your IP address, and pages visited, used to keep the website working and secure.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive information such as financial account passwords, health information or government identity numbers through the website. Please do not send these unless we specifically request them for a legal or contractual requirement.

03How we use your data

We use personal data for the following purposes:

  • To respond to enquiries, schedule consultations and site visits, and share estimates and proposals.
  • To design, plan, source and execute your project, including drawings, 3D views, material selection, procurement, site supervision and handover.
  • To communicate project updates, appointments and service information by phone, WhatsApp or email.
  • To issue invoices, receive payments, maintain accounts and meet tax and legal obligations.
  • To provide warranty and after-sales support.
  • To assess job applications and contact candidates.
  • To maintain, secure and improve our website and virtual assistant.
  • With your permission, to share relevant design ideas or studio news. You can opt out at any time.

Project photographs: we may photograph completed spaces for our portfolio, website or social media only with your consent, and we never publish your name, address or personal belongings that identify you without explicit permission.

05How we share your data

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only when necessary, and only with:

  • Project partners — contractors, joinery and manufacturing partners, vendors and installers working on your project, who receive only the information needed to do their part.
  • Service providers — our website host, form-handling service, email and messaging providers (including WhatsApp), cloud storage, and accounting or payment providers, who process data on our behalf.
  • Embedded services — our website uses Google Maps and Google Fonts, and loads some images from Unsplash. These services may receive technical information such as your IP address when the page loads, under their own privacy policies.
  • Authorities — where required by law, court order or a government request, or to protect our rights, property or safety.

We expect everyone we share data with to keep it confidential and secure, and to use it only for the purpose it was shared.

06Cookies and browser storage

Our website does not use advertising cookies. We use small amounts of your browser's session storage to make the website work smoothly — for example, to remember that Aventa, our virtual assistant, has already greeted you or that you are in the middle of a guided site tour. This information stays in your browser, is not used to identify you, and is cleared when you close the tab.

If we add analytics tools in future to understand how visitors use the website, we will update this policy. You can clear or block browser storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time.

07How long we keep data

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purpose it was collected:

  • Enquiries that do not become projects: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
  • Client project records, drawings and invoices: for the duration of the project, the warranty period, and as long as required by tax and accounting laws.
  • Job applications: up to 1 year, so we can consider you for future roles, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

08How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect personal data, including secure (HTTPS) connections on our website, access controls on shared files and devices, and limiting access to people who need it for their work. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will notify you and the relevant authorities of a personal data breach as required by law.

09Your rights

Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you have the right to:

  • Request a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we process it.
  • Ask us to correct, complete or update inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Ask us to erase your personal data when it is no longer needed, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Withdraw your consent at any time.
  • Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.

10Children's data

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18. When we design spaces such as children's rooms, we collect only what a parent or guardian chooses to share about their requirements.
